OAU announces matriculation date

The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, has announced Monday, March 14, 2022, as the date for the institution 2021/2022 matriculation ceremony.

This latest development was made known via a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the university, Abiodun Olarewaju, on Wednesday.

Olanrewaju noted that the matriculation ceremony would hold on March 14 between 2pm and 6pm.

The OAU spokesman further enjoined all the matriculating students to get in touch with the secretaries of their respective faculties for the collection of academic gowns and the details of other formalities.

“We congratulate all new students, wishing them outstanding success in their academic pursuit,” he added.

It would be recalled that the management of the university had earlier postponed the matriculation ceremony scheduled for Wednesday until further notice.

A statement by OAU Director, Academic Affairs, Mr. Murtala Agbaje, on Monday, in Ile-Ife, said a new date would be communicated to the general public, especially to those concerned in due course.
