OAU increases tuition fees

The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, has adjusted the fees that students of the institution would pay for the new academic session.

This was made known in a statement issued by the OAU Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Olarewaju said the decision was taken by the university Senate at its emergency meeting held on Tuesday, September 12.

He noted that fresh students in the Faculties of Arts, Law and Humanities would pay N151,200 while their returning counterparts would pay N89,200.

The university spokesperson stated that new students in the Faculties of Technology and Science would pay N163,200 while returning students would pay N101,200.

Olarewaju said fresh students in the Faculties of the College of Health Sciences and Pharmacy would pay N190,200 while the old students would pay N128,200, respectively.

Returning students in the faculties were paying N20,100 before the increase, while students in the Faculties of Technology and Science paid N28,100.

Students in the Faculty of Pharmacy paid N31,100 per session.

“The management, therefore, wishes the students resounding success in their academic programmes,” the university spokesman added.
