Evangelist Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has urged women to look beyond how the society sees their decision and whatever limits them as women.
She also advised women to look beyond how the society perceives them.
The evangelist gave the admonition in a video posted recently on her Facebook page.
Evangelist Naomi, who had remained silent on social media after the end of her three-year-old marriage with 47-year-old Ooni in 2021, also enjoined women to look beyond their weaknesses.
She said: “I want you to look beyond your human reasoning. I want you to look beyond what limit you as a woman.
“I want you to look beyond your weaknesses, look beyond how the society perceives every woman, look beyond how the society sees your decision as a woman.
“Look beyond how the society looks at you.”
The Star recalls that the 28-year-old Naomi on December 23, 2021, in a statement posted on her verified Instagram handle and Facebook page, announced an end to her three-year-old marriage with Ooni.
The evangelist had since then remained silent on social media.
She, however, broke her silence on February 8, 2022, as she posted a short video of herself after a makeover session on her Instastories and Facebook status.
A song titled, ‘I Am Beauri’, by Afro-soul singer, Bassey Kenneth, widely known as Beekay, was played in the background of the video uploaded by the fair-skinned ex-queen.

The lyrics of the song played in the background in the video goes thus: “I’m a beauri, I be spec, I drip glory, I be nobody’s ex, haters go hate o, potatoes will potate…”
Evangelist Naomi, who got married to Ooni in 2018, had renounced the title of a ‘Queen’ after she announced the end of her marriage with the first-class Yoruba monarch.
She further stated that Ooni’s public perception is different from his true character.
The evangelist added that her decision to end the marriage has nothing to do with Ooni marrying another queen.
Since the split between Ooni and Evangelist Naomi, many Yoruba monarchs and elders have tried to reconcile the estranged couple but the peace talks cannot be said to have yielded any results known to the public as the divorce post remains on the social media accounts of the ex-queen.
It could not be also ascertained if the evangelist is back to the palace since the divorce was announced as there has not been any official statement to that effect.
