Osinbajo, Tinubu, Emefiele’s banners, billboards flood Eagle Square

Banners, posters and billboards of presidential hopefuls of the All Progressives Congress (APC) adorned the Eagle Square, the venue of the governing party’s National Convention.

The campaign materials of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele, Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi were conspicuously displayed on the convention ground on Saturday.

Supporters of the presidential aspirants on Saturday took over the area of the National Convention wearing different colours and costumes.

They arrived as early as 9a.m. displaying posters and banners of the aspirants, while dancing in a carnival-like manner.

Some of the groups included that of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for President, Gov. David Umahi for President and Rotimi Amaechi for President.

Some members of the group interviewed said they were in Abuja to showcase their aspirants.

Mr. Musliu Ajani, a member of the Tinubu Supporters Group, said they decided to draw support for Tinubu on their own.

“We decided to come together to raise funds and campaign for Tinubu because he is the best aspirant to takeover from Buhari in 2023.

“We believe that he has all it takes for the job,” he said.
