Osun election: PDP candidate, Adeleke, wins 17 of 30 LGAs

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Osun governorship election, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, has won 17 of the 30 Local Government Areas in the gubernatorial election.

The incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola, who is the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the remaining 13 LGAs.

Although 15 candidates participated in the gubernatorial election, political pundits said the poll was a rematch between Governor Oyetola and Adeleke, who squared off in 2018.
