Nigerian award-winning singer, David Adeleke, well known as Davido, has insulted his cousin, Bamidele Adeleke, for declaring his intention to contest against his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in the July 16 governorship election in Osun State.
The Star reports that Davido’s uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, had last month submitted his governorship nomination form at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat in Abuja, declaring his intention to run in the 2022 governorship poll.
This was just as the PDP, last Thursday, said it has cleared Senator Ademola Adeleke, Dele Adeleke and four other aspirants for Osun State governorship primary.
However, Davido, on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, shared a picture of Dele Adeleke who posed with a provisional clearance certificate for the Osun State gubernatorial election, and warned Osun residents to “beware of fakes”.
The Fall crooner stated that Dele Adeleke struggled to graduate with a Second Class (Lower Division), adding that his cousin has not succeeded in building one single thing in life on his own.
Davido tweeted: “Wonderful! Me I finished uni with a 2:1. But it’s now cousin dele who struggled to even get a 2:2 that is now forming ‘intellectual’.
“Intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in his life on his own. This life ehn! Osun beware of FAKES!”
