The Chairman of FBN Holdings and Geregu Power Plc, Femi Otedola, has pledged to construct staff quarters at the Nigerian Law School in Lagos State.

The Director-General of the Nigerian Law School, Isa Chiroma, made the disclosure during his address to the body of benchers at the call-to-bar ceremony in Abuja on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

Chiroma added that the Law School authorities have received significant commitments from prominent business leaders and politicians, including the Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nwesom Wike, to improve the school’s infrastructure across various campuses.

He said: “Chief Femi Otedola has agreed to build staff quarters in Lagos Campus of the Nigerian law school.

“Alhaji Aliko Dangote has agreed to build a students’ hostel in the Kano Campus of the Nigerian law school. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, CON, has agreed to build staff quarters in the Abuja Campus of the Nigerian Law School as well as provision of official vehicles.”

The Director-General emphasised the importance of these interventions, stating that they come at a critical time when the Nigerian Law School is experiencing an increase in the number of applicants.

“These interventions are coming at a critical phase of our development period where there is an astronomical increase in the number of applicants into the Nigerian Law School,” Chiroma added.
