Panic as pastor storms church with AK 47 in Abuja

The members of the House on the Rock in Abuja were threw into panic on Sunday after the presiding pastor of the church, Uche Aigbe, mounted the pulpit with an AK 47 rifle.

Aigbe, it was gathered, mounted the pulpit with a gun during the church’s second service which often has a high turnout of the congregation.

However, it could not be ascertained if the gun the pastor was carrying was loaded or not.

Before delivering his sermon, the cleric said: “Some people are looking for my trouble. And I came here prepared.

“Today, there are some pastors with gift of divination who go about ripping people. This is why we should carry our guns and defend ourselves.

“I will particularly be coming very soon for some of you sleeping in the church,” he stated.

Speaking on the topic of his preaching ‘Guard your faith’, Pastor Aigbe stated:  “Walking in the ways of God is not dependent on a strict adherence to the ordinances of the law, nor is it by our personal efforts, rather, it is by faith in Christ Jesus. God is not obliged to work in our favour because of our human works; instead, He is moved by our believe in Christ Jesus (Gal 4:19).

“The doctrine of salvation is hinged on faith. Like is seen in Scripture, when we fail to imbibe the correct teachings on transformation, we simply attempt to pour new wine in an old wineskin.

“You don’t receive the Holy Spirit by law, but by grace through faith in the gospel of Christ Jesus. Your personal efforts cannot manifest the power of God in you – you are only saved by what Jesus did on the cross. As Scripture declares, the just shall live by faith, you must demonstrate faith in the finished works of Christ at Calvary, to be able to enjoy the benefits of salvation.

“Growth in God is by believing in the finished work of Christ Jesus. In the process of believing, your mind is renewed. Our belief therefore must express corresponding actions. It is impossible to please God without faith.

“God works miracles in our lives by our faith in Christ, and not by our works of the law. We receive His promise of freedom from sin only by believing in Christ Jesus. Right believing always focuses on God, while wrong believing focuses on self to justify why God should bless us,” the cleric said.
