The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has revealed his choice of running mate for the 2023 general election.
Obi, while speaking in an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday morning, said he would like to choose a younger person as his running mate.
The former governor of Anambra State said he prefers to have younger people who have a lot to offer rather than recycling old hands.
He noted that he’s building a formidable team, stressing that he wants a competent person as the Labour Party’s vice-presidential candidate.
Obi, a former vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), further debunked reports that he had picked the Director of Publicity and Advocacy of Northern Elders Forum, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, as his running mate ahead of the 2023 general election.

“I want people who can look me in the eye and disagree with me during cabinet meetings. People who have their own minds and ideas.
