The presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, PDP National Chairman, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, and the party’s vice-presidential candidate and Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, are currently leading a protest to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.
Atiku, a former Vice President, Ayu, Okowa, and other PDP leaders earlier gathered at the Legacy House in Maitama to begin the protest march to the INEC office in the nation’s capital.
The party had, in a statement on Sunday, announced that its leaders will on Monday, March 6, 2023, protest at the INEC headquarters over the outcome of the February 25 presidential election.
