President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over a meeting of the Council of State at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting, which commenced at about 10 am, is being attended physically and virtually.
The meeting has Former President Goodluck Jonathan, ex-Heads of State, Abdusalami Abubakar, and Yakubu Gowon; physically in attendance.
Others in attendance are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; and National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.
State governors in attendance include Hope Uzodinma (Imo State), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti State), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi State), Bello Matawalle (Zamfara State), Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna State), among others.
Others are, however, attending the meeting virtually.

The meeting on Wednesday is the fourth to be presided over by President Buhari.
The first meeting was held on October 21, 2015, the second on September 7, 2016, while the third was held virtually in August 2020.
The Personal Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmad, who disclosed the meeting on his verified Twitter handle, noted that the council observed a minute silence in honour of the former Head of Interim Government, Ernest Shonekan.
Shonekan died on January 11, 2022.
“President Buhari is currently presiding over the Council of State Meeting with Gen. Gowon, Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar, Goodluck Jonathan, governors, and top government officials in attendance.
“A minute silence was observed to honor late Chief Ernest Shonekan shortly before the meeting,” Bashir stated.
