The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested popular singer, Habeeb Okikiola, fondly called Portable, for allegedly refusing to pay the debt he incurred from the purchase of a G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state.
It was gathered that Portable, who was arrested on Tuesday, paid only N13 million for the purchase of the vehicle worth N27 million and refused to pay the N14 million balance.
The singer’s arrest was confirmed by Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.

Hundeyin disclosed that whenever the car dealer contacted Portable to pay the N14 million balance, the controversial musician usually claimed that the vehicle was bad.
“Portable has been arrested. He bought G-Wagon for N27 million, paid N13 million and refused to pay the rest, claiming the vehicle was bad. We arrested him today (Tuesday),” the police spokesman said.
