The Kano State Police Command has handed over N10 million wrongly transferred to a Point of Sale (PoS) operator to the owner at Dawanau Grain International market in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state.
This was made known via a statement issued by the command’s spokesman, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Kiyawa said a PoS operator reported to the police that one of his customers, who was yet to be identified, wrongly transferred N10 million instead of N10,000 to him.
He explained that on receipt of the report, the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, directed a discreet investigation with a view to identifying the rightful owner in order to return the money to him.
