Police reveal officers who assaulted man in Rivers

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has revealed the identity of the police officers who assaulted a man at Elibrade junction, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

A viral video shared on social media showed a police officer beating and slapping the yet-to-be-identified man.

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a tweet on his Twitter account on Tuesday, April 11, said the officers reported at the Force headquarters in Abuja, adding that trial will commence soon.

Adejobi listed the police officers to include Inspector Adejoh Siaka, Inspector Friday Obaka, and Sgt. Ndiwa Kpuebari.

The police spokesperson stated: “Inspector Adejoh Siaka; Inspector Friday Obaka, and Sgt. Ndiwa Kpuebari from Rivers State. These are the men who slapped a man on the road in Rivers.

“They reported at the Force Headquarters today. Trial will soon commence. We will update you as soon as possible. Thanks.”
