The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has declared that it would carry out an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of popular singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
There have been a series of videos shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, showing alleged attacks on Mohbad.
The Star had reported that Mohbad died in Lagos on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.
The famous musician, who was laid to rest in the Ikorodu area of Lagos on Wednesday, in February 2022, alleged that his former label boss, Naira Marley, and other members of the Marlian group were after his life.
However, the NPF, in a statement on Thursday, September 14, said the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has been directed to unravel the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
The police, however, called on the singer’s family members and friends with valuable information to approach Owohunwa to assist in the investigation.
