Policeman killed as operatives, Okada riders clash in Lagos

A duel between policemen and commercial motorcyclists popularly known as Okada riders has resulted in the killing of a policeman.

The incident happened on Wednesday, April 5 at Cele Bus Stop along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway Lagos.

It was learnt that the irate Okada riders also carted away three rifles taken from police operatives.

After the policeman was killed, the Okada riders in their tens ran towards Mile 2 end brandishing cutlasses, daggers, big sticks and other weapons.

They were charging at passers-by and motorists.
