The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has expelled a total of 566 students, including the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Elvert Ayambem Ekom, over poor Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
Ayambem represents Ikom 2 State Constituency in the Cross River Assembly.
The expulsion was made known in a list released by UNICAL on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
