Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has denied founding two notorious cult groups, One Million Boys and Ajah Boys.
Portable had earlier claimed being the founder of the cult groups terrorising residents of different areas of Lagos State.
The singer boasted being the founder of the cult groups in a video which surfaced online on Monday.
In the now-deleted video, the musician, who spoke in Yoruba, said: “Open your ears and hear me, you’ve heard about Ajah Boys, One Million Boys, I’m their founder.”
Hours after the claim, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, ordered a probe of the controversial singer’s claim.
The IGP, in a statement issued on Monday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, ordered the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, to investigate Portable’s statement and take necessary legal action.
However, Portable, in a video shared on his Instagram page, said he was referring to his fans on Instagram when he said he created One Million Boys.

The ‘Zazuu Zeh’ crooner added that he was never aware that he would be campaigning for the incumbent governor of Osun State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboyega Oyetola, during the governorship election held in the state last Saturday.
The singer said he was earlier informed he would perform at a show but later found out it was a campaign rally.
The musician further stated that some people have since been threatening his life.
“This has come to an end that I have to voice out… please everyone I wanna let you know that I didn’t meant to campaign for APC it was a show they told that am going to before I saw myself in APC office and as a man no need to worry I gat to do the job since it involved money.
“And what I meant by 1 million boys is meant 1 million followers. People are threatening my life ooo you should all look into this,” Portable captioned the video.
