Protest: Chairman declares dusk-to-dawn curfew in Nasarawa

The Chairman of Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, James Thomas, has declared dusk to dusk-to-dawn curfew in the area.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Special Senior Adviser on Media and Publicity to the chairman, Uba Magaji on Thursday, August 1, 2024.

Magaji stated that the curfew was with immediate effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. until further notice.

Protest: Gov imposes 24-hour curfew in Kano over looting

According to him, the curfew is imposed as a precautionary measure to ensure adequate security in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State.

He added that the curfew would restrict movement of people, motorcyclists, tricyclists, motorists, and all shops in Karu.
