Reps leader flags off Tinubu’s campaign with 4 wives, 28 kids

The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, has flagged off the presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 4 wives and 28 kids.

Ado-Doguwa, who is representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State, made this known at the plenary on Wednesday.

It would be recalled that the APC Presidential Campaign Council postponed the commencement of its campaigns earlier scheduled to hold today.

The Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, who made this known via a statement on Tuesday, said the adjustment of the timetable and schedule of activities was to accommodate growing interests shown by various political tendencies in being part of the campaign council, adding that a new date for the kick-off would be announced soon.

However, the House of Reps leader, on Wednesday, said he has flagged off the presidential campaign of Bola Tinubu in his house.

Ado-Doguwa, who is also seeking re-election to the House, said: “Today is the 28th day of September which is the flag-off date for the presidential and National Assembly elections. Even though parties had cause to reschedule their engagement and activities, I had to flag off from my house where I have 28 kids and four wives to vote for Tinubu and other APC candidates in the forthcoming general election; so I have done my flag-off in my own house.”

When asked about his announcement by the Speaker of the House of Reps, Femi Gbajabiamila, the lawmaker added: “Coincidentally, I am a National Assembly candidate vying for Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency.

“Although APC had cause to suspend its campaign flag-off, I had to flag off my campaign and for the APC presidential candidate.”
