Cristiano Ronaldo’s late goal was all the Manchester United needed to beat Atalanta during Wednesday Champions League at Old Trafford.

Mario Pasalic and Merih Demiral gave Atalanta an early lead.

Manchester United came from two goals down at half-time to beat Atalanta 3-2.

Second-half goals from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire brought United level before Cristiano Ronaldo completed the turnaround.

The victory relieves pressure on boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer whose side had booed off at the break.

But the jeers turned to cheers as United, roared on by an increasingly frenzied crowd, rallied to complete one of their great European victories.

The victory sees United, who at one stage during the match sat bottom of the group, move to the top of Group F with three matches remaining.
