Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli have agreed a four-year contract worth around £33.6 million (€40 million) a season or £646,154 per-week with Nigeria and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.

Al Ahli also agreed fee for Chelsea striker target Ivan Toney.

Osimhen and England striker Toney were both wanted by Chelsea.

The Blues were prepared to bring in Osimhen on loan with an obligation to buy, but Al Ahli moved ahead of Chelsea as they agreed a four-year contract with the 25-year-old striker worth around £33.6 million a season – or £646,154 per-week – tax-free.

The contract also includes a release clause, according to Sky Sports.

Al Ahli agreed a £67.3 million (€80 million) fee with Napoli for Osimhen and a £40 million fee with Brentford for Toney.

However, the Nigeria international is yet to give the green light to the move and Saudi sources indicate Al Ahli are likely to sign just one of the strikers.

It is understood Chelsea have not given up on long-term target Osimhen – although the club wage structure would have to be respected for any move to happen.

Before agreeing to the Saudi move, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda insisted “he still has so much to do in Europe” – a statement which appeared to give Chelsea every chance to come up with an acceptable offer.

But the west London club have fallen way short of what Osimhen would want, with Chelsea needing him to fit into their new wage structure.

Napoli have already brought in a potential Osimhen replacement in Romelu Lukaku, who joined from Chelsea on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Toney is currently undergoing medical tests approved by Al Ahli in London, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano added: “Chelsea delegation currently in Napoli as they are still trying to find a way for Victor Osimhen deal to be re-activated.

“Al Ahli keep planning to sign only one between Osimhen and Toney.”

Toney was left out of Brentford’s first two Premier League games against Crystal Palace and Liverpool and was also omitted from the squad for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup second-round win at Colchester United.
