The governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Shehu Sani, has disclosed that a House of Representatives aspirant in the state recovered over N100million from delegates after losing the ticket to represent his constituency at the green chamber in 2023.
Sani, who made the disclosure via his verified Twitter handle, said the House of Reps aspirant used vigilantes and hunters to recover the money shared to the delegates.
He, however, failed to disclose the name of the aspirant.
“A man who has lost the House of reps ticket in Kaduna has recovered over N100million from Delegates this evening using vigilantes and hunters,” he stated.
The former Senator, who represented Kaduna Central at the Senate, in another tweet, said some aspirants who failed to secure tickets have been using house arrest to get a refund of the money shared to the delegates.
“Some aspirants are moving house to house arresting delegates who collected their money and didn’t vote for them,” Sani tweeted.
The former federal lawmaker further faulted the attitude of paying delegates to vote during the party primaries.

Shehu Sani added: “If paying delegates is justified, the masses of the people can’t be faulted for demanding bags of rice before they vote.”
Political parties are holding primaries to elect the candidates for various positions ahead of the 2023 general election, with the antics of the delegates being the subject of discussion on social media.
The Star reported on Tuesday that Adam Namadi, son of former Vice-President Namadi Sambo, asked PDP delegates in Kaduna State to refund the N2 million each given to them after he failed to secure the party’s House of Reps ticket to represent Kaduna North Federal Constituency at the green chamber.
Namadi polled 02 votes at the PDP House of Reps primaries held on Monday.
The son of the former Vice-President, who had promised to add N1.5 million to the N2 million given to each of the delegates, secured the least votes among the three contenders.
