Teacher arrested for allegedly defiling 13-year-old student in Zamfara

A 30-year-old primary school teacher, Mukaila Abdurrazak, has been arrested by the operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly defiling his 13-year-old student in Zamfara State.

Abdurrazak, who was the girl’s teacher both at home and in school, was alleged to have used the opportunity to constantly defile her for three years.

The NSCDC spokesperson, Ikor Oche, made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday.

He added that the suspect had confessed to the crime during preliminary investigation.

Meanwhile, the NSCDC said it has apprehended three persons who allegedly attacked a House of Representatives member, Suleiman Abubakar.

According to NAN, Abubakar, representing Gummi/Bukuyum Federal constituency and the Sole Administrator, Gummi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, Alhaji Shehu D/Takwas, were allegedly attacked on Saturday in Birnin Magaji.

The NSCDC spokesperson noted that the suspects assaulted the duo and destroyed the windscreen of an official vehicle with registration number GMM 03 LG.

He stated that all the suspects would be charged to court after investigation.
