Teenager stabs mother to death in Kano

A woman, Jummai Kwarangwal, has been stabbed to death by her teenage son, Iro Kwarangwal, in the Rimin Kebe area of Kano.

An eyewitness and neighbour to the deceased, Muhammad Abdu, on Thursday, disclosed that the incident occurred on Wednesday, May 3, at about 5:30 p.m. in the area.

“I was standing in front of my house when I heard screaming from the deceased house.

“Upon rushing into the house, we found that the deceased was stabbed severally with a knife and screaming for help,” Abdu said.

He revealed that the suspect fled the scene shortly after he allegedly committed the heinous crime.

“The deceased was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead by a doctor in the hospital,” he added.

The incident was confirmed by the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa, on Thursday.

Haruna-Kiyawa, however, promised to give more details on the incident.
