President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Gbenga Alade as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), pending his confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.
Tinubu also appointed three AMCON Executive Directors.
They are Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi, Lucky Adaghe, and Executive Director.

The appointments were disclosed in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Ngelale said the president expects unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees to ensure that the operations of AMCON are more efficient, transparent, and in consonance with his determination to sanitise the nation’s financial system to maximise value and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
