Tinubu orders palliatives’ distribution through NASS members

President Bola Tinubu has ordered the distribution of palliatives consisting mainly of food items to members of the National Assembly for their constituents.

A presidential aide, Dada Olusegun, made this known via his X handle on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Olusegun revealed that the National Assembly members, in compliance with the directive of President Tinubu, have started taking stock of the federal government’s palliative items for their constituents.

He said the food items are part of efforts to ease life for all Nigerians, adding that senatorial constituencies got palliative items worth N200 million, while each member of the House of Representatives received items worth N100 million.

“After initial logistics delay, I can now confirm that Senators and members of the House of Representatives have started taking stock of the Federal Government’s palliative items for their constituents as part of efforts to ease life for all Nigerians.

“Each HoR member received items worth N100m while Senatorial constituencies got palliative items worth N200m,” the presidential aide noted.
