The flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has tagged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as poverty development party.
Tinubu, who described himself as a “thinker and doer,” referred to PDP as termites.
The former governor of Lagos State spoke after he was declared winner of the APC presidential primaries.
“We are progressives not the poverty development party – PDP… They are termites. We will not allow them again. They are the agents of poverty, terror, violence and lies. Asked them how many projects they abandoned. They can’t count. They don’t know mathematics talk less of algebra.
“They depleted our resources in 16 years, they left us with hunger,” Tinubu said.
Tinubu vowed that APC would continue to rebuild what PDP administration destroyed and wasted in 16 years.
Tinubu promised to unite Nigerians and build new society.
The former governor of Lagos State polled 1,271 votes to emerge winner.
He defeated Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and 12 other presidential aspirants including former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
