President Bola Tinubu, on Saturday, July 8, 2023, visited the Nigerian troops in Guinea-Bissau after his arrival for the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in the country.
Tinubu was accompanied by the former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje; Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu; ex-Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State; and Nigeria Ambassador to Guinea-Bissau, James Usanga.
Others were Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Ibrahim Kana; Force Commander ECOWAS Stabilisation Force, Brigadier General Al-hassan Grema; National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Adamu Lamuwa.
The president, who departed Abuja for Guinea-Bissau on Saturday, is expected to be back in Nigeria at the end of the Summit on Sunday, July 9.
