The Director General of the Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, has lost his senatorial election.
Lalong was defeated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, AVM Bali Nikap Napoleon (rtd), with 148,844 votes.
The governor trailed behind the PDP candidate with 91,674 votes.
The candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Tobias Nda, polled 17,325 votes.
Lalong joined his colleague-governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu and Samuel Ortom of Benue that have lost their senatorial bids to LP and APC, respectively.
