Tinubu’s victory: Atiku, Obi seek court’s order to inspect poll materials

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has filed an ex-parte motion before the Presidential Election Court (PEC) in Abuja, seeking to inspect the materials used for the February 25 presidential election.

Also, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has made the same request.

Atiku and Obi’s requests were contained in two separate ex-parte motions filed at the PEC secretariat at the Court of Appeal, Abuja.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and two others are respondents.

The hearing of the suit begins today, Friday, March 3, 2023.

Both Atiku and Obi have rejected the results of the election which produced Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner.
