The United States Attorney’s Office for Central District of California, Los Angeles, has again postponed the sentencing date of popular internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, fondly called Hushpuppi, for alleged $1.1m fraud.
The court, in August, announced that Hushpuppi will be sentenced on September 21, 2022.
The popular socialite was initially scheduled for sentencing on February 14 but it was moved to July 11 before it was postponed to September 21, 2022.
However, an official of the court’s Media Relations Unit, Ciaran McEvoy, in an email to Channels Television on Tuesday, said the sentencing of Hushpuppi has been slated for November 3.

“Abbas’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 3 at 10 a.m. Los Angeles time/6 p.m. Lagos time,” McEvoy disclosed.
It would be recalled that Hushpuppi is facing criminal charges in the United States for conspiracy to launder money obtained from business email compromise frauds and other scams.
The scams include schemes that defrauded a US law firm of about $40 million.
He was alleged to have illegally transferred $14.7 million from a foreign financial institution and targeted to steal $124 million from an English football club.
Hushpuppi was later arrested by the Dubai Police in June 2020 before he was extradited to the United States.
