Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani says his administration’s commitment to excellence and innovation in healthcare delivery has led to national and international accolades.
Sani said this at the commissioning of a new pharma-grade warehouse at Makera in Kaduna State on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
The governor said the facility will lead to enhanced healthcare delivery, which will ultimately improve the health and well-being of Kaduna citizens.
“Our efforts have been recognized with 10 awards, both national and international, including the prestigious Excellence Award by the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA),” he stated.
Governor Sani emphasised that in Kaduna State, good healthcare is not a privilege but a fundamental human right, adding that the PHC Leadership Challenge in Abuja had earlier ranked the state as the best in Primary Health Care in the North West zone.

Sani added: “This warehouse is a symbol of our dedication to ensuring the continuous availability, efficient storage, and distribution of essential health commodities.
“By strengthening our supply chain, we are ensuring that life-saving medications and supplies reach every corner of our state.”
The governor disclosed that Kaduna State is one of the first states to pay the 15% counterpart funding for the warehouse upgrade, promising to renovate and upgrade identified warehouses in zones one andto Pharma Grade standard.
According to Sani, upgrading the zonal warehouses will further improve accessibility of quality drugs to the people of Kaduna state.
He, therefore, expressed gratitude to development partners, including the Global Fund and UNICEF, as well as Fidson Healthcare and Emzor Group for their support.
