Umahi secures APC senatorial ticket for Ebonyi South

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Ebonyi South.

The governor clinched the senatorial ticket which was earlier secured by his younger brother, Austin Umahi.

Austin had earlier won the primaries held at Afikpo North local government area headquarters on May 28.

Governor Umahi had failed to clinch the presidential ticket of the ruling party, polling 38 votes.
