Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been involved in an auto crash in Abuja.

The accident, which occurred on Wednesday evening, claimed the lives of two of Jonathan’s aides.

One of his aides, who confirmed the accident, said Jonathan was fine and okay.

He disclosed that the accident occurred when Jonathan was on his way from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to his residence in Abuja.

The aide said the former President is now at home.

Speaking on the incident via his Twitter handle, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar said: “This story comes across with a rude shock. We thank God for sparing the life of President @GEJonathan. But it is heart wrenching that he lost two of his aides to the auto accident.
