VIDEO: Basketmouth apologises to AY over 17 years feud

Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, well known as Basketmouth, has apologised to his colleague, Ayodeji Makun, fondly called AY, over the rift between them.

AY had, in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, in March 2023, revealed that N30,000 caused the feud between him and Basketmouth.

The famous comedian disclosed that the feud between him and his colleague started in 2006 after the latter failed to pay him for a job worth N30,000.

He said he compered an event for Basketmouth but the latter lied to him that the event host wasn’t pleased with his (AY) job to avoid paying the money.

However, Basketmouth, in a video shared on his social media accounts on Monday, October 2, apologised to AY and others he has offended “knowingly or unknowingly” in the entertainment industry.

The popular comedian and actor said: “To all the people in the industry and beyond that I have offended knowingly or unknowingly. I am saying this to you from the bottom of my heart I am genuinely sorry.

“And to the people who have accused me of doing things that have affected their career in one way or the other, I am not going to deny or accept these allegations.

“God knows the truth but regardless, forgive me. I beg you from the bottom of my heart.

“To my guy AY, I don’t know if my apology is still valid right now but if it is, please forgive me for whatever I have done or said in the past that had affected you in any way.

“I want you to know that I have forgiven you for anything you had said or done knowingly or unknowingly. It has gone and I just want us to live in peace and harmony.”
