VIDEO: Lagos airport in darkness over power outage

A video showing the departure lounge of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, being thrown into complete darkness has surfaced online.

Many passengers boarding airplanes were stranded over the power outage.

In the background of the video obtained by The Star, an airport official was heard apologising to the stranded passengers, while the travellers expressed displeasure at the power outage.

It was, however, gathered that the departure lounge of the Lagos airport was thrown into complete darkness in the early hours of Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) had yet to react to the power outage as of the time of filing this report.
