VIDEO: Reactions as Portable arrives concert in coffin

Reactions have trailed the video of controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, arriving at his concert in a coffin.

Portable was carried into the concert tagged, ‘Portable Live in Concert’, in a white coffin by pallbearers at African Shrine in Lagos on Wednesday night.

Reacting to the video on Twitter, a user, Roodie77, said: “Anything to keep his name relevant.”

Futuristic stated: “Reminded me of the movie I watched on African magic when the herbalist instructed the Pastor to run his renewal Ritual right on the church altar.

“The pastor did the ritual right there on the altar during Sunday service by making it into a drama.”

Damidachoco wrote: “When Undertaker (wrestler) shows up in a coffin, you all clap and go wild.

“Portable decides to do the same, critics everywhere.

“It’s a concept and there’s nothing wrong with it, black people should stop reading deep meaning to everything. As a performer, dramatic entrance matters.”

Cindy said: “Portable cannot amaze me cause he’s capable of anything. Normal life.”

Flora stated: Portable should nor suppose dey leave amongst normal people o.

“We dey laugh to all this. The day wei e go happen ehn. Okay o.”

Julius Juliano said: “Portable, you are a great musician and loved by many. I like the fact that you are trying to be very creative for your fans which is why your dear fans love you so much but there are things that are considered absurd, coming out of a coffin is one of them. Thanks.”
