Voting has commenced in the Ondo State governorship election holding across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
Voters were spotted trooping into some polling units in Ondo State as early as 7:00 a.m., while the election started at about 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
No fewer than 17 political parties were cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to participate in the Ondo State governorship election, with 1,793,914 voters set to decide the fate of the candidates.

The incumbent governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, will slug it out with his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other candidates in the gubernatorial election.
