Woman arrested for pouring hot water on husband

A woman, Godslove Olakada, has been arrested for pouring hot water on her husband, Olakada Ejire, over a domestic disagreement in Agbonchia community in the Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that the woman, a mother of two, bathed her husband with hot water over his refusal to give her N15,000 shared between them and their children from the host community dividends.

It was learned that Olakada, who fled home after the incident, was arrested by the members of the local Nchia Vigilante on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and later handed over to the Eleme Police Division.

Confirming the incident via a statement on Monday, the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the woman is in police custody.
