The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a female drug dealer, Kudirat Bello, with different quantities of methamphetamine, cannabis, and rophynol in the Igbesa area of Ogun State.
The woman, who was arrested on Monday, March 20, was also nabbed with N119,600 monetary exhibit.
The NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this via a statement issued and made available to The Star on Sunday, March 26, 2023.
Babafemi revealed that the NDLEA operatives, on Friday, March 24 also intercepted a trailer marked ZUR 378 XJ (Kebbi) with 69 bags of Cannabis Sativa weighing 700kg and concealed under bags of fertiliser in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
He noted that the bags of fertiliser were to be delivered in Funtua, Katsina State, while the cannabis consignment was to be dropped in Kaduna.

The NDLEA spokesman disclosed that the driver of the truck, Babangida Mande, and his assistant, Mandir Abdullahi, are already in the anti-drug agency’s custody.
Babafemi stated that another suspect, Ijarekhai Ogbewee, was arrested on Thursday, March 23 in Otuo, Owan East LGA of Edo State with 32kg of Cannabis Sativa.
He added that 96 compressed blocks of cannabis weighing 82kg and concealed inside jumbo bags of cassava flour were recovered at Basket Market in Asaba, the Delta State capital, while 164,750 pills of tramadol were seized from two suspects, Henry Abuchi and Daniel Ugwoke, in parts of Taraba State.
Babafemi said the NDLEA officers also recovered 45 blocks of compressed cannabis weighing 23kg along the Okene-Abuja expressway from a suspect, Abubakar Muhammad, in a Toyota Hiace bus coming from Lagos and going to Maiduguri, Borno State, on Tuesday, March 21 in Kogi state.
The NDLEA spokesperson disclosed that 1,030.6 kilograms of cannabis were equally recovered from three suspects – Bolaji Adesina, Femi Ojo, and Jamiu Useni – during raid operations in the Mushin area of Lagos State.
Speaking on the arrests and seizures, the NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd), commended the officers of the anti-drug agency for their vigilance and excellent working relationship with other security agencies in their areas of responsibility.
Marwa also charged them and their colleagues across the country not to rest on their oars.
