Woman stabs husband to death in domestic dispute

A 33-year-old housewife, Comfort Tinubu, has allegedly stabbed his 39-year-old husband, Olusegun Tinubu, to death in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

It was gathered that the couple got married three years ago and lived at Gbeyi in the Adegbayi area of Ibadan.

The marriage is blessed with two children.

Sources disclosed that the husband and wife started an argument at about 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, and the woman allegedly locked the husband out of their bedroom.

“This resulted in a fight during which the wife stabbed the husband in the back,” a source said.

He added that the alleged murder was reported at the Gbagi Police Station.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident on Friday, November 1, saying the woman allegedly stabbed her husband to death during a misunderstanding.

Osifeso said an investigation into the incident was ongoing.

The police spokesperson said: “The case is under investigation at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

“Updates will be provided accordingly.”
