World Cup: Tinubu calls Messi ‘Emi lo kan of Doha’

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has hailed Argentina star, Lionel Messi, for winning the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, describing the former Barcelona forward as the “Emi lo kan of Doha”.

‘Emi lo kan’ is a Yoruba phrase which translates as ‘it is my turn’.

The saying has become synonymous with Tinubu following his address in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital while vying for the APC presidential ticket.
