X users slam El-Rufai over comment on Kaduna governor’s post

The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has come under attack over his comment on the post of his successor, Governor Uba Sani, on X (formerly Twitter), with many users lashing out at the ex-number one citizen of the state.

An X user with the handle @IU_Wakilii shared pictures of Governor Sani and heaps of refuse in Kaduna.

He wrote: “They thought we were kidding when we said that in just a few months, Governor Uba Sani had changed Kaduna completely.

“This is the type of change we are getting from the best Governor in Nigeria 😂”

Speaking on the user’s tweet, El-Rufai wrote: “From God we all came, and to Him we shall all return.”

His comment, however, elicited reactions from X users as many regarded the former governor’s reaction as an attempt to ridicule his successor.

El-Rufai to Kaduna Assembly: Show how you arrived at figure I siphoned

Since the reports of the severed relationship between El-Rufi, a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Governor Sani started making the rounds, this is the first public attempt by the former governor to express his displeasure with his long-time friend.

Many X users lashed out at El-Rufai over the problem of waste management that enveloped his administration.

An X user @NMnasan said: “Please, just explain to us what and what you did with $350m foreign loan?”

Another user, @FS_Yusuf_ stated: “Oga, your wail no dey reach us for back seats. Shout harder. The dirt you didn’t clear, he is clearing them for you.”

@Sports_Doctor2 wrote: “But sir, these images are from your time, there are images of these piles of rubbish from way back in 2016!!!!

“Images of this nonsense were there during your time as Governor for 8 good years and you did absolutely nothing about it. You see this life eh 🥴🥴🥴”
