Facebook owner, Mark Zuckerberg, has undergone surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) suffered during training for a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight.
Zuckerberg disclosed this in a post on his Facebook page on Friday night.
He stated: “Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it. Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me.
“I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that’s delayed a bit. Still looking forward to it after I recover.

“Thanks to everyone for the love and support.”
X (formerly Twitter) owner, Elon Musk, had, in August, said his much-hyped cage fight with Zuckerberg over a business rivalry would hold in Italy.
The authorities in Italy also confirmed talks about hosting a “great charity event”.
Musk did not mention a date for the proposed fight, but said he may need to undergo “minor surgery” to resolve a “problem with my right shoulder blade rubbing against my ribs”.
Meta chief Zuckerberg responded on his Threads social network, posting a photo of himself shirtless and pinning down an opponent in his “backyard octagon”.
Months after Musk took over X, Zuckerberg’s Meta hinted it was planning to launch its own text-based social media platform – essentially a direct rival.
Musk has since been trolling Zuckerberg with messages on X.
